The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.

Fans can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
